After a delicious breakfast, we were moved to our sea view room which was the same one we had two years ago. The winds have picked up and it is forecasted to be this way for the next few days. We decided to explore the west side of the island. On the way, I saw a small rock beach where I collected some choice stones for my necklace project. The road was meticulously paved with large cobble stones which had developed a shine, perhaps from use. Anyway, we imagined the work that it took to achieve such a rustic look. On the way back, we took the low road and discovered a small cove with a stone beach sheltered from the winds and perfect for a swim We decided to come back tomorrow.
We stopped by the mini market to see what ingredients might inspire us our dinner. We planned to make a pasta dinner so opted to not have lunch out but nibble on what we had in our fridge. We found some frozen ground meat wrapped in plastic. We figured it would be good in our sauce. We also bought some frozen pork souvlaki for a future dinner. Once we got back, we attempted to play scrabble in the breakfast area but a quarter of the way through, a gust came and blew our tiles off the board. Darn. Anyway, it was time to start preparing dinner. A shallot, a large tomato, olive oil, mystery meat, white and red wine, and chilli peppers simmered until our tagliatelle was ready to be added. We dined on our balcony with an oil and vinegar salad. We love cooking together and took advantage of our cooking facilities. It was delicious as we watched the sun go down.
