We were up
and packed and headed out to do some souvenir shopping. We had lunch once again at Meze Meze. I had to have grilled squid for one last time
and shared one more Naxian Gruyere cheese saganaki with Jill. The taxi was
picking us up to take us the airport at 3 so we headed home and we had a short
nap. The airport was not only small but our check-in agent was the same guy who
was working at the olive museum. He was helping a friend for just a day. We were
travelling to Athens on a Bombardier prop Fokker, a Canadian plane. It took just 30 minutes
in the air. It was neat to see several
ferries at one time chris crossing the Aegean to the various islands.
We were
picked up at the airport by the owner of Peri’s Hotel, a short 15 minute ride
from the airport and a 15 minute walk from the sea to where we went for dinner.
Peri’s is a bargain at 85 Euros, which includes transfers to and from the
airport and an early transfer as we were leaving to go to the airport at 6 am.
