Malta - Gozo Tour, Day 8, May 28th

It was an early morning.  We were picked up at our place and bused to the Gozo ferry located an hour away on the north side of the island. It was a short 25 minute ride to Gozo.  What a fabulous island, very hilly, dry but fertile.  The highlight was Ggantija which has the second oldest religious temples in the world, older than Stonehenge and the pyramids. They date back 5,500 years. From the Citadel, the highest point on the island, it was amazing to see the many churchs that towered over the towns in which they were built.
