Made brekkie at home then headed out for a hike on the outside of the fortification wall following the water to the Grand Harbour . The wind was dying down and the air was clearing. What a great walk. We must have climbed well over 1,000 steps. Along the way we stopped at the interpretive centre and learned all about the history of Malta and how it defended itself throughout time. Another late lunch at around 3 then home for a nap and a late dinner, the first cooked at home, chicken thighs in a wine sauce with fresh heirloom tomatoes, capers, fresh basil, and chilli peppers served with tagliatelli pasta. Yum.
