Our day started with pain. The toe on my right foot was injured when I fell and has been swelling steadily. Jill thinks it’s broken. A good reason to have my baby make me breakfast of eggs, cheese and tomato served on our balcony. The view is outstanding and always a cool breeze. I did not want to leave and didn't until we popped out for some pork on a stick and a shared beer. Some more resting and a refreshing swim in this magical place. We both had a short siesta and then caught the bus up to Artemon to the food festival. It was advertised to start at 7:00 and run until 10:00 but at 8:00 people were still setting up. We were disappointed that it was not tourist friendly with no English signs and generally not welcoming. It was for Greeks so we left to have dinner back in Kamares. I was craving fresh fried squid so we went back to last night’s restaurant, which was packed. Luckily we got one of the last tables. Jill had meat balls in tomato sauce and lettuce salad. It was such an enormous portion, she took two of the three meatballs home for a snack tomorrow. Then it was back to our hotel room for espresso and Mataxa on the balcony. Love the balcony.

That's terrible that you think you broke your toe. That would make it so difficult to walk. Doug broke his toe geocaching once and not watching where he was walking. Hope it's not broken and starts getting better. Photos are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHope the toes is feeling better Peter. The pictures are fabulous. My favourite is you and Jill. :-)
