My foot has healed remarkably well. Very little pain when I walk and the spray-on bandage has worked. We did our usual boardwalk walk as far as we could go looking at Lagos across the estuary.
We walked through Alvor to the best pizzeria (according to Trip Advisor) located minutes from our place. We ordered the Napoli style mushroom, artichoke, pepperoni, ham pizza. With two large beers it came to €21.50. So reasonable and one of the best pizzas we have ever eaten.
Today was the warmest it has been, around 22. Off to the pool for a short snooze and swim, me, not Jill. The water is very cold, but refreshing. Fifteen more minutes in the sun then off for some pool. I was victorious again, five matches to three. The best out of three match today was so close. I won one, Jill won one and in the third game we each had one ball on the table. My shot, I sunk my ball and then fluke sunk the black ball. Winner winner chicken dinner.
Back to our place for a game of Scrabble. Jill once again was the winner and reigning champ. Time to eat. I mixed leftovers with pork sausages, red bell pepper, zucchini, olives, onions, garlic, white wine, piri piri, and Dijon mustard. We are creatures of habit and love it. No leftovers ever get thrown out. It would be a crime in our house and it is always delicious. Another habit is to watch Masterchef UK on Jill’s iPad while we eat. We love the show. We decided to take a walk to see what was happening in town. Restaurants were very busy and some bars had overly loud bass pounding music. It was a happening place, but not our scene.
Back to our place to watch a movie. We are both getting dark. Probably the darkest we have been in decades. Note to self, more sunscreen and always wear a hat.
Glad to hear your foot is doing well. The pizza looks great!
